GIS [Geographic Information Systems]
What is it? GIS is a computer-based technology designed to connect pictures (plans, maps, photographs, etc) with information (street addresses, signs, geographic names, etc). A GIS can be applied to any kind of data, allowing for an unlimited amount of applications.
